 HBC-CP160 ES/EH

What Is the HBC-CP160?

The HBC-CP160 is a dedicated busbar punching and cutter machine — a Busbar Machine with no bending station — for copper and aluminum busbar up to 160 × 15 mm. Two separate power packs run both operations, keeping punching and cutting fast on wider bars.

Built for Wider Busbars: Up to 160 × 15 mm

As a copper busbar processing machine built for large busbar punching, the HBC-CP160 handles 160 mm wide × 15 mm thick bars — the sizes used in higher-current distribution and larger switchgear. A 230-bar system punches and shears the thicker bar cleanly. Choose it over the HBC-CP120 when your bars run past 120 × 12 mm.

INTRODUCTION

TECHNICAL INFORMATION

Automatic or Manual Positioning in HBC-CP160

As an automatic busbar punching machine, the HBC-CP160 ES adds a programmable length stopper with 20 positions, absolute or incremental; the EH uses a handy manual stopper. A laser center finder locates holes, a foot pedal drives automatic mode, and side rollers ease busbar movement. Both are Industry 4.0 ready.

More Muscle, Less Waiting Around

What sets the HBC-CP160 apart is how it treats cutting and punching as two jobs happening at once, not one after the other, thanks to two separate double-acting power packs running at 230 bar and drawing 4.5 KW combined. There’s no bending step in between, no shared bottleneck, and no reason two operators can’t be working the machine simultaneously. Add a laser pointer for the puncher center finder and circle dies from M6 to M18 (with oval and rectangle available on request), and you’ve got a machine that’s genuinely built to keep up with a busy floor rather than just survive on one.

Bigger Bars, Your Call on the Stopper in HBC-CP160

At 160 × 15 mm, the HBC-CP160’s max busbar capacity outpaces the smaller models in the lineup, so thicker copper and aluminum bars aren’t an issue, and the Ø20 mm max punching die gives you plenty of headroom too. From there, it comes down to how hands-on you want to be: the ES stopper positions everything automatically, while the EH keeps it manual for teams that like direct control. Running on 380 VAC 3-phase power, filled with 60 L of ISO VG 68 hydraulic oil, and Industry 4.0 ready right out of the base mount, it’s a setup built to fit into a modern shop without much fuss.

FAQ's

Frequently asked questions

Does the HBC-CP160 bend busbars?

No — the HBC-CP160 punches and cuts only, with no bending station. For cutting, punching, and bending in one unit, see the HBC-A160 or HBC-B160.

Capacity: the HBC-CP160 handles busbar up to 160 × 15 mm, versus 120 × 12 mm on the HBC-CP120. Both share the same two-power-pack cut-and-punch design.

Yes — the HBC-CP160’s two separate power packs let two operators work both stations at the same time, so punching and cutting run without waiting on each other.

The HBC-CP160 processes copper and aluminum busbar up to 160 × 15 mm — the largest in the CP range — for both punching and cutting operations.
